I sincerely believe that Krabi is one of the best destinations in Thailand, as long as your goal is to find paradisiacal beaches. It is also the starting point to the Phi Phi islands, which makes it interesting to start your trip through the beautiful beaches of Thailand in the province of Krabi. I recommend you rent accommodation in the small town of Ao Nang and from there go on various excursions through the incredible places that are located in this province.

By the way, in the town of Ao Nang itself you should not miss savoring delicious Thai food at the street food stalls, where fresh fish and seafood are prepared on the barbecue.

TOURS FROM AO NANG
RAILAY
It is a beautiful coastal area where you can take a bath in the crystal clear and warm turquoise waters. The best thing about being so close to the Equator line is the fact that the sea water is always warm and you can take a bath at any time. In this area, the Ao Phranang and Raily West beaches stand out, in the first you will also have the opportunity to visit Phra Nang Cave, also called Princess Cave, a fertility sanctuary with numerous wooden cocks as offerings. You’ll see how curious it is!

Before reaching Ao Phranang beach, if you dare to climb a bit, you can go up to a viewpoint. The path is not suitable for all people, and it is highly recommended to wear shoes, since you will have to climb a steep place, sometimes with reddish mud and cut by numerous tree roots, which can serve as a grip. However, the views of the lagoon are fascinating, and of course, it is worth going up to have the privilege of contemplating them.

KRABI MANGROVES
One of the most complex ecosystems on Earth is located on the Andaman coast, the mangrove forests, in which the fauna and flora have adapted to high levels of salinity, among which are the different types of crabs, mollusks and waterfowl.

I recommend you start the excursion early in the morning, since at dawn the forest is more alive, since the animals have a more active life. The best way to get to know this area is by entering the labyrinthine mangrove forests in a small boat or kayak, which you can rent at the starting point of the excursions. The scenery is truly spectacular and you will be blown away by the exuberant nature.

To make the excursion you must go to Ao Thalone, located in the capital area of kayaks, and a 20-minute drive from Ao Nang. Take some water, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen with you, since during the excursion you will be under the sun, and in these latitudes, the sun is really strong and burns easily.
TOUR OF THE FOUR ISLANDS, DIVING & SNORKELING
Another good way to enjoy Krabi is by taking the four island tour, which will take you to the following places: Poda Island, Chicken Island, Tup Island and Phra Nang Island. In addition to visiting these beautiful places, it is a good opportunity to snorkel. It is a fun way to get to know the islands, however, keep in mind that there is a lot of tourism, and the beaches are easily crowded, it is better to start early.

By the way, if you like diving, the marine life here is wonderful, I had the opportunity to dive with the leopard sharks at Shark Point. A beautiful area with numerous pink corals and huge gorgonians. Diving reaches 25 meters and is not very complex. In addition to Shark Point, I recommend diving in the King Crusier area, a ship that sunk in 1997.

TIPS:
•Try street food that is very tasty. There is a lot of fish and seafood on the barbecue.
• Krabi is a good area for sport climbing and also for diving.
• Give yourself a Thai massage. If I could I would do it daily, it leaves you like new.
• In addition to the beaches, I recommend you visit other areas in Thailand, such as Chiang Mai with a great cultural offer and some beautiful temples.
Krabi sure looks like an amazing place to explore, I love its mangroves and wonderful sea creatures 😊 thanks for sharing and have a good day 😊 Aiva
